Youth Health Summit
Youth Health Summit
We are pleased to announce that our staff have organized a very special day on Thursday, April 26, 2018. We were successful in obtaining a grant through Health School Promotions. Our Youth Health Summit will focus on mental health, physical health, and nutrition. We have worked really hard to ensure all students will go to a presentor in all three areas. The students will start their day in the gym with our keynote speaker Angela Dufour from Nutrition in Action.
Angela Dufour
Ms. Dufour's path to performance in dietary work began at Mount Saint Vincent university, where she completed both her undergraduate degree in nutrition studies and Masters of Adult Education. Angela is the owner of Nutrition in Action Private Counselling Service and the Lead Performance Dietitian at Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic.
She is a dynamic Professional Dietitian, Speaker and Educator, specializing in a variety of health and nutrition issues with extensive experience in sports nutrition education.
Angela was recently appointed as one of two Performance Dietitians to travel with Team Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) Mission Staff for the 2018 Pyeong Chang Winter Olympics! Over the past twelve years, Angela has helped hundreds of clients in Atlantic Canada achieve their health and fitness goals! We are so glad she is able to join us!
